monitoring

For many organisations, web sites, e-mail, servers, and other Internet resources are essential productivity tools that are a crucial part of day to day operations. Server downtime is simply not an option, so monitoring servers to detect and report failures is critical.

We can notify you when a check reports an error via various methods including sms, email or phone.

Pinging - a simple check to see if a server is on the network (check TCP/IP is active).

Content Check - Each time we check your site, we look for a specific phrase or keyword. This ensures that your page has the expected content. This feature is especially useful for ensuring your data is valid on database-driven web sites. If a keyword is not present on that web page we will notify you.

Performance check - A web site performance check test the time it takes for your server to respond to the monitoring agent's request. This is the time expected for a page to load on the client browser. If your page exceeds the set load time, we will notify you about possible performance issues with your server.

Mailserver check - A check to see if your mailserver SMTP service is running

POP check - A check for POP mail servers

IMAP check - A check for IMAP mail servers

DNS check - A check for Domain Name Service servers

FTP check - A check to see if your FTP service is running

Telnet check - A check for any device that supports Telnet connections, such as Unix servers, routers, etc.

TCP Stream check - A check that monitors any device that supports TCP at the stream level; used to monitor virtually any type of server, such as NNTP
